Brenna Kapanoske, LMFTFounder, Lead TherapistEducation:
My therapy approach is client centered with empathy being the core. I hold space for my clients as they navigate current struggles and process past experiences, relationships and challenges that are still showing up in their lives. Clients that see me are often looking for a balance of being able to talk and process while being gently challenged with a different perspective and deeper insight. I work from an Attachment and Psychodynamic perspective, meaning I connect early relationships and family of origin to your current life and relationships. When we notice patterns, dynamics and "old stuff" that is playing a part, we can intentionally choose to do relationships and life in a healthier way. Personal Interests:
In addition to being a therapist, I am a mom to two young children who remind me that life is short, things don't need to be perfect and having fun is important. I also teach as an adjunct professor in a local MFT program and love keeping my brain active and challenged in that way. Why I Love Being a Therapist: I love being a therapist for so many different reasons. I truly admire my clients because therapy is hard work. It isn't easy to self reflect and look at the areas of ourselves that are maladaptive or unhealthy. I am truly in awe of the work that my clients do each day they step into my office. I love seeing clients set boundaries. I love seeing clients intentionally make choices that are best for them. I love seeing clients heal from trauma. I love seeing clients challenge society's standards and expectations. I love the way my client's challenge me. Mostly, I love seeing clients thrive. |
